EasyExtract Terms of Use
Last updated: 2 August 2026
By using any EasyExtract online extraction tool or any other page on this site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. EasyExtract reserves the right to update these terms at any time; the "Last updated" date above will change when it does.
1. What EasyExtract is
EasyExtract provides free, browser-based file extraction and data-parsing tools. Every tool runs entirely in your web browser using JavaScript — no file is uploaded to any EasyExtract server. All processing happens locally on your device. The tools are offered free of charge, supported by advertising.
EasyExtract is operated by an individual owner/editor based in the United Kingdom. Contact details are on the contact page.
2. Who may use the service
You may use EasyExtract if you are at least 13 years old. By using the site, you confirm that you meet this requirement. EasyExtract tools are general-purpose utilities intended for lawful personal, educational, and professional use.
3. Acceptable use
You may use the tools on this site for any lawful purpose. You must not:
- Use EasyExtract to process files you do not have the legal right to access or extract data from.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or redistribute EasyExtract's tool code, design, or content without permission.
- Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to access the site in a way that places excessive load on the server or circumvents normal browser behaviour.
- Use EasyExtract to facilitate fraud, infringement, or any activity that violates applicable law.
Because all file processing happens in your browser, EasyExtract has no ability to monitor the content of files you open. You are solely responsible for ensuring that any file you process through the tools is one you are authorised to use.
4. Accuracy and tool limitations
EasyExtract's tools are tested against a range of real-world files, but extraction quality depends on the file's internal structure, encoding, and the capabilities of the open-source libraries used. Results may be incomplete, misformatted, or absent for unusual or malformed files.
Do not rely on EasyExtract as the sole means of accessing critical data. Always keep original copies of any files you process. See the supported file formats page for a full list of accepted formats and known limitations.
5. Disclaimer of warranties
EasyExtract and all tools on this site are provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranty of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, EasyExtract disclaims all warranties including but not limited to:
- Merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
- Accuracy, completeness, or reliability of extraction results.
- Uninterrupted or error-free availability of the service.
- The absence of viruses or other harmful components in files you choose to open (all file processing happens in your browser; EasyExtract has no visibility into the files you process).
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, EasyExtract and its operator shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages arising from your use of or inability to use this site or its tools — including but not limited to loss of data, lost profits, or business interruption — even if EasyExtract has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
EasyExtract's total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these terms or the use of the service shall not exceed £0 (zero), reflecting that the service is provided entirely free of charge.
7. Intellectual property
The EasyExtract name, logo, site design, and original written content are the property of EasyExtract and may not be reproduced without permission. Tool functionality is powered by open-source libraries (including PDF.js and Tesseract.js) which are distributed under their respective open-source licences.
You retain all rights to the files and data you process through the tools. EasyExtract claims no ownership over any content you open, paste, or extract using the service.
8. Third-party services
EasyExtract uses Google AdSense to display advertisements and Google Fonts to load typefaces. These services are subject to Google's own terms and privacy policies. EasyExtract is not responsible for the practices of these third-party providers. See the privacy policy for details of what each third-party service may receive.
Links to external sites on EasyExtract (for example, in blog posts or documentation) are provided for convenience. EasyExtract does not endorse the content of external sites and is not responsible for their availability or accuracy.
9. Security reporting
If you discover a security vulnerability or privacy issue on this site, please report it through the contact page. Details about how EasyExtract handles files and what data is transmitted are on the security and file processing page.
10. Termination of access
EasyExtract reserves the right to block access to the site or any tool for users who violate these terms or attempt to misuse the service, without notice and at EasyExtract's sole discretion.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
12. Changes to these terms
EasyExtract may update these terms at any time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. Material changes will be summarised below the date for 30 days following any update.
